Jim is a late bloomer, so to speak. He married his High School sweetheart (Jody) after Jr. College and they have two adult daughters. Jim didn’t accept the call to ministry until age 30, and then enrolled in St. Louis Christian College, where he graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Ministry. Jim has been bi-vocational most of his ministry career. He and Jody have served churches in Southern and Central IL. Even with ministry and work, he and Jody have always made family a priority. Jim enjoys playing golf, riding his Harley motorcycle, hanging out with their seven grandkids (most of the time) and he loves helping others. Jim really likes to grill out and his favorite food to grill is either beef, pork or anything else you can catch!

Jody is one of those people who was born on the back row of the church. She has been active in church her whole life. When she and Jim married, she was just graduating from the 8th grade! OK, maybe it was high school. She and Jim married at a young age and with 2 daughters, 2 bonus sons, and seven grandkids, her greatest joy is when they all fill Jojo and Poppie’s house with craziness & chaos. Jody, or Jojo as the kids call her, loves to garden and help others. She grew up loving Jesus and showing others what the love of Jesus looks like. She works full time, leads our Praise Team, co-teaches our women’s ministry, teaches in the kids Sunday School rotation, and does her best to keep Jim in line. To say she is busy is an understatement.
